March of Remembrance 2025
The Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute warmly invites you to participate in the March of Remembrance 2025, which will take place on July 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM in Warsaw.
For the fourteenth time, we will come together to commemorate the victims of the Great Deportation of the Warsaw Ghetto, carried out by the Nazis. During this operation, approximately 300,000 Jewish men, women, and children were deported from the Umschlagplatz and murdered in the Treblinka extermination camp.
The March of Remembrance aims to restore the memory of the victims – including those whose names remain unknown.
This year’s edition of the March is dedicated to the musicians of the Warsaw Ghetto – the largest and most active artistic group in the closed district – including Artur Gold, Janina Familier-Hepner, Paulina Braun, Josima Feldszuh, Jakub Glatsztejn, and Szymon Pullman.

Starting location: Umschlagplatz Monument (10 Stawki Street)
Speeches: Directors of the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute and invited guests
Laying of wreaths
Procession through the streets of Muranów: Karmelicka, Nowolipie, John Paul II Avenue, Solidarności Avenue, Bielańska, Długa, and the historic Nalewki Street
Conclusion of the March: Krasiński Garden, where a ceremonial concert will take place featuring performances by Ania Karpowicz, Dominik Strycharski, Marta Wryk, and Adam Kośmieja

- “Zog nit kejn mol” (Never Say, 1943) by Hirsh Glik, arranged and reinterpreted by Adam Kośmieja
- “Wróć do mnie znów” (Come Back to Me Again, 1931) lyrics by Andrzej Włast, music by Artur Gold
- “Nie wierzę Ci” (I Don’t Believe You, 1939) lyrics by Andrzej Włast, music by Artur Gold
This is likely Artur Gold’s last composition from the “golden years” of his pre-war career. The song was first performed publicly by Ina Benita at the Ali Baba theater in Warsaw in the spring of 1939, and later released on both Syrena Rekord and Odeon labels. - “Arojs iz geganen a jid ojf der gas” (A Jew Walked Out into the Street, 1940) – lyrics by Itzhak Katzenelson, music by Jakub Glatsztejn; world premiere/reconstruction based on sheet music found in the Ringelblum Archive
